Product Introduction
Introduction

The MTS160 is a high-precision magnetic guidance sensor designed for mobile robots. Its patented technology detects the angular orientation and longitudinal position of magnetic tracks, enabling accurate navigation along paths and higher speeds on curves without sacrificing safety.

Supporting 25mm or 50mm magnetic tape, the MTS160 offers a sensing width of 160mm, 1mm resolution, and an operating height of 10-50mm. It detects magnetic markers, supports path forks and merges, and ensures compatibility with various systems via CAN and RS232 interfaces. With a 200Hz update rate and built-in termination resistor, it delivers reliable performance for both primary and auxiliary navigation.

Durable and compact, the IP54-rated MTS160 operates in temperatures from -40°C to +65°C. RGB status LEDs and a PC utility simplify setup, and online firmware updates keep it cutting-edge. The MTS160 is a robust and efficient solution for mobile robot navigation.

FAQ

Q: How does a magnetic sensor work?

A: Magnetic sensors have the working principle based on the measurement of changes in magnetic moment of magnetic material when exposed to magnetic fields. The magnetic materials say ferromagnetic react to temperature change or magnetoelastic materials react to a mechanical stress, in the medium with which they interact.

Q: What is magnetic navigation?

A: Magnetic navigation utilizes one specific. component of the total magnetic field to. navigate – the lithospheric, or crustal anomaly. field.

Q: What are the disadvantages of magnetic field sensor?

A: This can result in inaccurate measurements or false readings. Magnetic interference can be caused by nearby magnets, electrical devices, or magnetic fields from the earth. Limited Range: Magnetic sensors have a limited detection range.
