In intelligent logistics equipment, the limit device of AGV wheels directly affects operational reliability and safety. Previously, we shared a universal optimization scheme. In this article, we will detail two highly adaptable hard limit designs for the PLT brand's large circular rotating plate structure-namely, the top hard limit and the lateral hard limit-to help you quickly resolve issues of rotation overrun.
This article is based on the dimensions of the PLT300 series steering wheel, as shown below: an inner circle radius of 165 mm, an outer circle radius of 212 mm, and a turning space height of 39 mm.

1. Top Hard Limit Design: Compact Structure and Easy Installation
Application Scenario:
Designed for AGVs equipped with a flat mounting plate above the turning support.
Design Principle:

Advantages:
✅ Directly utilizes the existing top mounting plate structure without any additional modifications.
✅ Adjustable limit angle and controllable limiting strength ensure high compatibility with zero maintenance cost.
2. Lateral Hard Limit Design: Flexible for Complex Vehicle Structures
Application Scenario:
Ideal for situations where there is no available space for a top mounting plate on the steering wheel or when the structure is constrained, but a fixed plate or beam with sufficient strength exists on the side.
Design Principle:

Advantages:
✅ Overcomes spatial limitations to adapt to complex vehicle designs.
✅ Adjustable limit angle and controllable limiting strength offer high compatibility with zero maintenance cost.
Choosing Between the Two Solutions
Top Hard Limit Design:
Preferred when the AGV structure permits, as it offers simpler installation and lower cost.
Lateral Hard Limit Design:
Suitable for scenarios with compact space or special layouts, offering greater flexibility.
These solutions ensure that your AGV wheels operate within safe limits, enhancing both reliability and safety in intelligent logistics applications.
