Emergency response plan for large motors affected by moisture or water ingress

Due to the relatively complex nature and high maintenance costs of large motors, it is important to avoid the occurrence of faults and the severity of their consequences as much as possible. For example, once a large motor is damp or flooded, first aid measures can be taken as soon as possible to avoid the need for maintenance in case of serious problems.
When the large motor is damp or flooded, the equipment should be opened in a timely manner and the internal water stains should be wiped dry. Then check if the windings in some motors are damaged, such as desoldering; At the same time, attention should also be paid to the integrity of the electric brush and its connection with the surface of the slip ring. On the basis of ensuring no problems, the winding can be dried using an incandescent lamp or naturally blown dry. However, it is important not to use low voltage current or open flames for heating and drying, as it can cause fatal damage to large motors.
After drying, it is necessary to use corresponding methods to detect the insulation wires of various winding coils in the motor. If there are still poor contacts, further solutions need to be taken. After complete processing, a trial run is also necessary to ensure that there is no risk.
