Plutools Holds Internal Training On Servo Motor Principles And Selection Guidelines

To comprehensively enhance the professional expertise and practical capabilities of its technical team, Plutools successfully held an internal training session themed "Servo Motor Principles and Selection Guidelines" on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. The event attracted active participation from employees across multiple departments, including R&D, technical support, sales support, and after-sales service.

During the session, a senior motor engineer began with the core structure and control principles of servo motors, systematically explaining their essential differences and advantages compared with stepper motors and asynchronous motors. He not only clearly illustrated key performance parameters such as torque, speed, and precision, but also focused on the often-overlooked yet critical principle of "motor inertia matching." Through vivid analogies and practical cases, he explained the serious impact of inertia mismatch on system responsiveness, stability, and service life, while providing scientific methods for calculation and verification.

In addition, another motor engineer gave a special presentation on the selection of encoders, a key component of servo systems. From multiple dimensions-resolution, accuracy, response frequency, and communication protocols (such as incremental vs. absolute types)-he compared the characteristics of different encoders and their suitable application scenarios. This helped participants understand how to make optimal choices when facing diverse requirements, such as high-precision positioning or high-speed operation. For the scenarios relevant to our industry, Engineer Dong particularly recommended magnetic encoders.

The training closely followed the main thread of "Principle–Selection–Application." Drawing on years of project experience, the engineers integrated theoretical knowledge with real-world challenges encountered in customer sites, offering a wealth of practical selection strategies and troubleshooting insights. In the interactive Q&A session, colleagues enthusiastically raised questions and engaged in in-depth discussions with the engineers on advanced technical issues, including rigidity adjustment, inertia feedforward, and encoder feedback anomalies.

This training not only strengthened employees' theoretical foundation but also significantly enhanced their ability to solve real-world problems, laying a solid technical basis for providing customers with more precise, efficient, and reliable servo system solutions. Plutools will continue to build a learning-oriented organization, driving team and corporate progress through a series of internal knowledge-sharing initiatives, and leading industry development with cutting-edge technologies and superior services.
