Korber AG has announced that it has acquired a majority stake in Cohesio Group Ltd. The Denebio Group is an integrator of systems such as logistics robots. The two companies did not specify the value of the deal. The transaction was completed on September 20.
Cologne, Germany is a private company with more than 10,000 employees worldwide. The Cobb Logistics Systems business provides a fully integrated system for optimizing smart plants, warehouses and distribution centers. It includes discrete units for system integration, products, and software that surround functions such as palletizing, unloading, and material handling.
Cohesio, Melbourne, Australia designs, integrates and supports process and workflow optimization. The company provides software and integration services for drones, industrial automation and connectivity. Cohesio says it serves manufacturing, supply chain and retail customers, especially in the Asia Pacific region.
The company also claims to have "one of the world's largest and most experienced Honeywell voice integration teams." Cohesio will join the software business unit of Korber Logistics.

Denebio has established an exclusive partnership with Geek+, which opened a smart factory in Nanjing, China today. It uses Geek+'s own robots, algorithms and other automation techniques to make mobile robots.
Cohesio and Geek+ collaborate to create automated guided vehicles (agv) for warehouses. Agv said this will reduce costs to $1 million to $3 million, compared to $15 million to $20 million for traditional cargo deployment systems.
Korber adds support for e-commerce
Korber said that its logistics systems department "has been tracking the Cohesio Group for quite some time." The company said it expects Cohesion io's voice technology and robotics to expand its global product portfolio.
In February 2018, Cobb took the lead in investing $24.8 million in Magazino, a mobile picking robot for small and medium-sized boxes.
