Dürr presented the first AGV designed for the smart paint shop at its 11th Global Customer Open Day event. The AGV technology, called EcoProFleet, combines traditional self-propelled cars with Dürr's innovative technology, such as the new energy storage concept. This means that the AGV can run without interruption and does not require special charging time.
Unlike traditional conveyor technology, which is strictly fixed on the ground to transport the body, the new AGV runs independently in parallel between the workstation, checkpoint and storage area. EcoProFleet can help with modular production, despite the different bodywork and different processing times, no longer waiting time. Therefore, the greater the difference between the body structure and the painting, the greater the cost-effectiveness. Since the AGV can be redirected to a different workstation or to a different paint booth, the downtime caused by a sudden failure is also reduced to a lower limit. Jens Reiner, Director of R&D and Product Management at Dürr, said of the importance of this new technology: “Scalability and flexibility are becoming more and more important in the paint shop. With EcoProFleet, we designed the paint shop. The first AGV opened an important breakthrough for these needs."

This height means that the AGV has access to all typical workstations and conveyor systems, making it easy to get the body into the workstation, transfer or transfer the body to work perfectly together at each interface. In order to ensure the stable transportation of heavy cargo, EcoProFleet has a weight of 850 kg, a good design ratio and a load capacity of 1000 kg.
